I Hate The Internet
The internet is one big cruel trick on our hearts and minds. Why? Because it allows us to make real connections with real people all the way across the world.
How is that a cruel trick?
Because It’s not fair.
It’s not fair that you can make amazing friendships.
It’s not fair that you cam make these amazing friendships with people all around the world.
It’s not fair that these friendships are limited.
Limited by the world between us, when all we want to do is bridge the gap.
It sucks. It really does. We shouldn’t have to live in a world of “What if?”
If the Internet didn’t exist, I wouldn’t feel this way. I wouldn’t feel claustrophobic in these friendships of mine. I wouldn’t even know you at all.
But the pain I feel is heavily outweighed by joy.
I love all the great friendships you have brought me Internet, but I hate you.
It isn’t fair.
