Dylan Vs. The Scam Artist
I just received a phone call on our homeline from a supposed ‘Microsoft Representative’. She proceeded to tell me that there had been reported errors on my computer and took me on this long and tedious process to show me where they were.
After showing me where these errors were, she said the only option I had was to go to their website, download a remote access program and allow them remote access to my computer, presumably so they could either search for my credit card details or actually create some errors on my computer by installing some lovely viruses.
I lead this lovely (supposed) ‘Microsoft Representative on for a whole 32 minutes before I told her that she was “full of sh!t” and that I knew she was a scammer. After a brief moment of silence she hung up the phone.
I consider the time I spent wasting her time as community service.
